Christmas Parties & Festive Dining

From Monday 16th November, our Christmas and festive party menus will be available to pre-order.

Expect a generous, elevated take on the Christmas classics, showcasing the best locally sourced produce and everything you love about Christmas at The Surprise – with a little extra occasion for the festive season!

Our Christmas Party Menu is £65pp, with our new Fremantle Menu offering a slightly more elevated take on the classics at £75pp.

Gather friends, family or colleagues around the table and let us take care of the rest. With wines from Hallgarten Fine Wines and the brilliant Goedhuis, and a cocktail list to match, we’ll see you at the bar.

Christmas Carols

Tuesday 8th December, from 7pm

Join us for an evening of traditional Christmas carols with the Christchurch Area Residents’ Association.

Gather with neighbours and friends for a proper start to Christmas, with a choir, freshly roasted chestnuts, homemade mince pies and plenty of our house mulled wine.

Christmas Day at The Surprise

This year, we’re delighted to open our doors on Christmas Day and welcome you to celebrate with us.

Our Christmas Day Menu is £110pp, bringing together all the festive favourites alongside the very best produce – from Aurox’ Lyons Hill Farm, the very best cuts from Walter Rose and the team at Stokes Marsh Farm in Wiltshire, & sustainably-sourced fresh fish from Flying Fish on the Cornish coast.

Pair it all with a carefully curated wine list and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of The Surprise, and settle in for a Christmas Day to remember.

Christmas Day dining is pre-booked and pre-paid, with the menu available exclusively to guests who book in advance. First bookings are from 12pm, with the last booking at 3:30pm.

New Year’s Eve

See in 2027, the Chelsea way.

Join us on New Year’s Eve for a special set menu at £100pp, available by pre-order only. Then, as the evening unfolds, live music will take over the bar and we’ll count down to midnight together.

The Hamilton Room

Our Hamilton Room is made for festive gatherings, from intimate dinners to lively Christmas parties.

The room seats up to 30 guests on one long table, or 35 in a T-shape, and can accommodate up to 60 guests for standing drinks and canapés.
