A talk with Gilbert Greenall, adviser to the UK government and United Nations on humanitarian emergencies and the welfare of civilians during and after conflict. Gilbert is also the author of Combat Civilian, a memoir documenting his 40-year career in the management of humanitarian crises from Sierra Leone, to Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
